UK NEQAS survey of allergen component testing across the United Kingdom and other European countries

The clinical utility of molecular diagnostic approaches in allergy investigation is being recognized increasingly to play a significant role in the management of allergic patients. In order to assess the diagnostic service provisions for in-vitro allergy testing across Europe, a survey was carried out via the total immunoglobulin (Ig)E and specific IgE external quality assurance schemes run by UK NEQAS Immunology, Immunochemistry and Allergy.
